City of Las Vegas Safekey - Learning about Snap Circuits

Come explore an exciting STEAM tool that the city of Las Vegas is using in their Safekey and Ignite before- and after-school programs. Snap Circuits makes learning electronics simple and fun through the use of mounted components that snap together easily.  This presentation will feature the Snap Circuits Light electronics kit which engages the Safekey and Ignite program participants at all age levels, and allows children to explore basic engineering concepts along the way.  In addition to showing some sample completed Snap Circuits projects, we will also share some ideas for supplemental activities that the Safekey and Ignite programs incorporate to reinforce and expand on the concepts learned using the Snap Circuits kits.
