UNLV Cybersecurity Day

Have you ever wondered how safe you really are online or how hackers can protect the digital world? Explore the exciting world of cybersecurity through games, hands-on activities, and real-world challenges—no experience needed. 

Secured IT Solutions, a cybersecurity consulting company, and Valhallan, a youth esports organization, are hosting UNLV Cybersecurity Day alongside cybersecurity organizations at UNLV to introduce kids of all ages to cybersecurity. 

(Activities are designed for those between the ages of 12-18; however, kids under 12 with accompanying parents who can help their kids out with the activities, will be able to find value and fun in the activities as well!)

Join us at this unique event on April 26th from 1:00 -5:00pm (check in starts at 12:45) to participate in hands-on challenges, explore UNLV's potential in cybersecurity, and learn about future learning opportunities. Only 150 students will be accepted, so grab a spot before they run out!

Some of the activities to look forward to include: 

• Hack Fortress - A competitive, hands-on cybersecurity game

• Cyber Lab Walkthrough - Explore the campus and see what tools and facilities UNLV has to offer

• Web-Based Hacking Game - Learn about cybersecurity concepts, like how to eliminate vulnerabilities

• GenCyber Zone - Featuring VR, social engineering games, and interactive security drills

Supplies and equipment will be provided—no need to bring anything but yourself and excitement to learn.

Location: Advanced Engineering Building on the UNLV Campus

Park in the Cottage Grove Parking garage. Drop off is near the garage.
