Discover the history of nuclear testing and our atomic connections to the universe on a journey through the Atomic Museum. Each guided tour experience will reveal the origin of atomic testing, its compelling history at the Nevada Test Site, and the role of nuclear in today’s world. Participants will encounter engaging exhibits that explore themes like atomic pop culture, civil defense, and stockpile stewardship, before stepping inside the Ground Zero Theater to experience a simulated atomic test. Tours run for one hour and are participatory and inclusive. The subject matter is best suited for students in grades 4 and above, however the tours are open to all ages.
