About the event
Experience spectacular views of Hoover Dam from the Colorado River. Your adventure begins at the Alan Bible Visitor Center, where you’ll be transported down the historic Lower Portal Road, a route rarely accessed by the public, to the Black Canyon Water Trail. Once at the river’s edge, board your raft and set out on a scenic 30-minute journey beneath the towering canyon walls. From the water, you’ll enjoy a unique perspective of Hoover Dam, the surrounding volcanic rock formations, and the quiet beauty of the Colorado River. Along the way, keep an eye out for desert wildlife and take in the peaceful contrast to the energy of nearby Las Vegas.
