From a kid in the Midwest who dreamed of flying to a real-life astronaut and space shuttle commander, Scott Altman’s journey is packed with excitement, science, and perseverance. In this fun, family-friendly talk, Scott shares amazing stories—from studying engineering and learning to fly, to piloting jets off aircraft carriers and flying in the original Top Gun movie, to working with NASA and commanding a space shuttle on a mission to repair the Hubble Space Telescope.
You will hear how curiosity, teamwork, and problem-solving can lead to incredible careers in science and engineering, even when challenges pop up along the way. Get inspired to explore, ask big questions, and discover how YOU can reach for the stars!
